It was wonderful to see the students of Daniel Webster Magnet school in New York transform CD's, album and other recycled items into beautiful art works. Some of the students had never seen an album so it was great seeing the expression on their face with the oh's and aaa's of wonder. They worked alone and at times helping each other to transform items that would have been put in the trash. They listened to music as they thought of ways to take an item that might otherwise be in our landfills or oceans and collectively created art.
