Madame Plastic

The Great Changes in Ms. Plastic’s Life Each day it is becoming harder for Ms. Plastic to find new plastic bags to create her dresses. She runs to the stores where she used to go but always gets the same answer:

Ms. Plastic

“We don’t give out plastic bags anymore.”

Today she has a party and she really wants to find something beautiful to wear.

She went to visit her friend Ms. Paper, who looked very sad and told her that the only things she will find now are ugly brown paper bags.

Ms. Paper

Ms. Paper “It's the same for me. I cannot find more beautiful papers for my clothes. There are still newspapers and magazines, but I hear that there are going to stop publishing them.” “Why? “To save the trees and the forests and to preserve the air we breathe.” “But I don’t understand. There are no trees or forests involve in making plastic bags.” “What? You do not know that plastic is not biodegradable and is manufactured with oil?” “No. Tell me more.” Ms. Paper began to talk about global warning, climate change, CO2 levels in the atmosphere, the 7th continent of plastic - things that were absolutely unknown for Ms. Plastic. Even that could not stop Ms. Plastic from thinking about her evening and the dress she wanted to wear. All that Mrs. Paper was saying was boring and had no meaning for her.

Ms. Bottle

Ms. Bottle She left and stopped to visit Ms. Bottle, a nice lady who loves to do her clothes with paper and fabric. Ms. Bottle also tried to convince her that plastic was very bad for the environment, and that it was participating in global warming and the destruction of the planet Earth. "So I will go to live in the 7th continent of Plastic,” said Ms. Plastic. Mrs. Bottle looked at her sadly. It could take too long to explain to her that because of the 7th continent of plastic and all the pollution thrown into the sea, the flora and fauna were threatened with disappearing. Ms.

Ms. Fabric

Fabric Finally Ms. Plastic went to visit Ms. Fabric, a very elegant and charismatic lady. Because she was so beautiful and elegant, Ms. Plastic began to listen to the wise lady. Ms Fabric told Ms. Plastic that she has a studio where she could sew cotton, silk clothes and other natural fibers. Ms. Fabric promised her that she could quickly create a garment for her party, but she needs to come back for more pretty dresses as well as to educate her and her friends about the effect on the environment of wearing plastic dresses. Ms. Plastic was so happy that a few days after her first meeting with Ms. Fabric, she became Ms. Fashionista!!!!!! Ms Plastic and her friends: ”Let’s work for a cleaner world!!”
