Our Mission in Sri Lanka and Maldives

My mission to Sri Lanka and the Maldives was to show a wider audience the relationship between climate change, sustainability, and debris; so I proposed a series of workshops called Citizen Workshops. The tools used to facilitate the workshops were our hands plus a few basic items that the participants are requested to bring. I brought additional materials which include fabric, beads, tissue paper, knitting and crochet needles and wool.

The participants at my workshop range in age and social economic background and that diversity lends itself to the discovery of their creativity in a sacred space where they get to explore with their hands a higher expression of themselves, connecting with what most inherently inside of all of us. My hope for the workshops is to always bring a moment of meditation, pleasure, relaxation, calm, trust and discovery.

During my journey, four major subject matter were emphasized in Sri Lanka and the Maldives workshops.
